It all started with a ramshackle ruin with a dodgy roof and no foundations. But Lucy saw the potential for a beautiful haven from the chaos of the modern world.

Throwing her savings and imagination into the project, she has made huge progress in getting the property to a mortgage-able state, but sadly Brexit has slowed access to funds to complete it.

The Big Barn will become a haven for people looking to escape their busy lives. For a couple of weeks per year, they can eat food that is grown on the land surrounding the barn (seasons permitting), gaze at the stars where there is no light pollution, and enjoy the best sleep they've had in years.
